Mental Wellness

Beautiful Minds is a leading program in the provision of education programs that focus on positive mental health and the reduction of stigma throughout a person’s life. We work with schools, social agencies and community partners to develop, promote and deliver education programs to increase knowledge and promote positive attitudes towards mental health and thus reduce stigma.

Clearly, a focus on prevention could, over time, reduce the number of mental health issues which would reduce the pressure on the mental health system by reducing the need for more intensive and costly interventions. The early identification of symptoms can reduce the severity of mental health issues and improve the quality of a person’s life.

Beautiful Minds provides quality education products on mental wellness that make a positive difference in peoples’ lives. We hope that with the education we provide around the stigma of mental wellness, students, teachers, support staff, parents and the general community have a better understanding of mental health and its related issues and that they will support others in their community who are experiencing mental health concerns.

Overall, we want to change the way mental illness is viewed by society by changing the negative perception that many people have about mental health. We want to build self-esteem and self-worth and to let people know that they are not alone when it comes to mental health.

Beautiful Minds currently works with people in Waterloo Region and Wellington County. We do, however, consider special requests from other areas as resources are available.
